Eating Momo is like the permanent ‘IN’ thing of the Nepali society, you see your friends status is, tweet it, join countless groups and share pictures. Now we have momo gatherings and momos being sold at club parties too! This craze is further fuelled by De Namaste of Plumstead. De Namaste is pretty nice although there are bad days when the ground floor stinks a little and the didi’s arent in their best of moods but just few hundred metres away is Danfe Rodhigar Restaurant. Titled a roghighar; dont worry you can still eat in peace, it’s been a good few months since they’ve stopped the singing. Unlike Namaste, Danfe has a better seating area although no private rooms, the smell is more friendly, the menu is much more thicker and cheaper. Also, the whole restaurant is decorated in a very Nepali style and they even have a fancy pub-style bar! They recently helped Mr Dhakeshwar Chetry who is a Nepali cyclist currently in the UK on his world cycle journey – free food for his entire visit to the restaurant. Now this is a restaurant who’s also trying to keep up with their Corporate Social Responsibility. I LIKES.

I tried Danfe restaurant as my “Valentine Day” venue today after reading your post. Food was typically in Nepali style that re-activated my taste buds. However, service was not as I expected, though a little Nepali didi was giving her best to serve us. Anyway, I will give 8/10 for food and 5/10 for service. I will be back though.
