The first ever Nepalese Excellence Award 2012 took place on the 22nd June alongside T-FEST grand finals. The award show was quite different from the current trend of Nepali events being held in the UK, however it was an event that could have been a lot better. Minor technical glitches, spelling errors (for the nominee names etc) and lack of preparation contributed to making the event mildly entertaining. Nonetheless, huge kudos to Mobin Shrestha and the team for doing their best and delivering what was an idea into an event. It’s so easy to say but so difficult to do, I genuinely hope that NEA makes a return next year – better than ever because there are so many things to improve on. Having board members may be better. Just a thought. Along with that, the hosts must and should know who the chief guests are and should not get it wrong. Better communication and effective management could have done wonders for the event. All the best for the future.

I won the Young Achievement Award, I wasn’t expecting that. Honestly. I don’t know who voted or judged but thank you to everyone… I do what I do because I enjoy it, and to know that is being appreciated and acknowledged by many just feels like icing on the cake. Thanks.
