The much awaited LGNITE UK kicked off with a grand opening on February 2nd where thousands made their way to the Coronet Theatre to watch Jeewan Gurung from The Edge Band live in London. The concert also had head-banging performances from The Grease, melodic tunes from Londons very own JPT Rockerz and sultry moves from the GAWKY girls. Hailed by many as one of the best events they had been to, LGNITE swiftly moved on to the Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone on February 9th. The same venue has previously housed performances by popular British acts such as McFly. Unfortunately, the LGNITE Tour has come to an abrupt end due to the loss of Jeewan Gurungs father in Nepal. The lead vocalist made his way back to Nepal on Sunday, Feb 10.
The Nuneaton show will be going ahead without Jeewan Gurung on the 16th February. The Farnborough show on February 23rd has been cancelled.
Wishing the best for Jeewan Gurung’s family, and may his fathers soul rest in peace…

We are very sorry that we could not do our shows in Nuneaton and Farnborough. Our main act Jeewan Gurung is having an emotionally hard time to face these challenges by losing his DAD last night at Nepal while he was with us on the LG NITE UK tour.Our deepest condolence to uncle and sympathy to the family members who are facing this sad emotional part of life.
We wish to complete this unfinished job together as a team once Jeewan is able to do that. We all hope that you will understand the importance and responsibility of being a son and fulfill the requirements and needs of our culture and society… We assure you all that we will come back even more stronger and fresh but please on these times of life let’s support Jeewan Gurung whose songs have been a soul of many hearts .
