With the peak tourist season rapidly approaching, 2017 has already been a momentous year for the country’s tourism industry. The first half of 2017 saw a whopping increase of 41.50% in tourist arrivals with a figure of 460,237 and more is expected from September onwards. Digital marketing and social media have been instrumental in re-branding Nepal as the go-to destination. The country seems to have shaken off the image of the earthquake and many other natural disasters that it often faces. Marking this tourism high, here’s a time-lapse collection video of Nepal in 4K by Nepal360! Looks exquisite! Now imagine, actually being there!
We are only a week away from kicking off Tracing Nepal 2017! It’s going to be an exciting year and we have the biggest team of 16 travelling to Nepal from Singapore, Hong Kong, UK and USA! The travel program is all about supporting development, supporting tourism and supporting organisations that are working their butts off to make a difference in the community.
I can’t wait to (re)introduce Nepal to these group of people and I am so glad to see that online media has been able to do that as well.
