A Documentary On Elephants ‘UNCHAINED’ At Bikalpa Centre

As the discussion on the welfare of elephants in Nepal continues, a documentary by the name of ‘UNCHAINED‘ could not have come at a better time. The Alex Rivera film centres around the work of Carol Buckley, the founder and CEO of Elephant Aid International. Buckley started the campaign “Chain Free Means Pain Free” in Chitwan several years ago in a bid to free the domesticated elephants near the national park. The documentary goes beyond Nepal and shows elephants in captivity and how they are made to suffer as they undergo their training.

The screening of UNCHAINED takes place at the Bikalpa Centre (Bikapla Art Cafe & Bar) on February 14th. The screening will also have a discussion with Carol Buckley herself.
