APABAD Raises Nrs 85,550 For Charity!!!

A charity screening of APABAD was recently held in Kathmandu on the 7th June at Kumari Cinema to support ECDC and CNN Heroes nominee Pushpa Basnet. Figures related to the movie fraternity to supporters of Nepali cinema and ECDC attended the screening where a total of Nrs 85,550 was raised for ECDS’s The Butterfly Home Project by MetroFever.com. The event would not have been possible without the organisation and management by MetroFever.com, also many thanks for capturing the event.
After watching the film Pushpa Basnet shared a status on facebook writing ”Need to watch APABAD… Everyone”. Similarly musician Manoj Kumar KC shared “APABAD – I’m convinced I didn’t see ‘Into the Wild’ in it. Nepali movie is outta kindergarten phase, Now its time to expand the market. Raj Ballav Koirala, you’ve done a great job…”


APABAD will release all over Nepal on the 15th June. The film has already been screened in Australia, USA and Denmark. UK screening of the film kickstarts from the 23rd June in London followed by Folkestone on the 15th July and Aldershot on the 20th July.

  1. Was indeed a great event. Everyone enjoyed the film Apabad as it is really a different film able to be trend setter in the industry. In the mean time raising fund for such a noble cause was great.

  2. Looks like a lot of big nepali stars were present at the event and the total amounted to a mere NRs 85000. Fuckin hell. Seems like our celebrities are really broke.
