Alpine Air – Nepali International Airline

A New Nepali International airline; Alpine Air is set to spread its wings from the first week of February when it inaugurates its first flight between Kathmandu and Delhi. This will be the fifth airline to fly this route. Alpine Air will be using an A319-900 aircraft which is being leased from Bahrain Air. After the first phase which is expected to last for three months, the airline is hoping to add Kuala Lumpur, Guangzhou, Mumbai and Doha in the future.
Hopefully, this will be a successful venture which many other airlines have attempted to try but failed miserably ‘Cosmic Air, Necon Air, Air Nepal International, Fly Yeti. Our current state owned Nepal Airlines was to acquire two new aircrafts however the process is going through a political limbo. There’s no hope there yet Buddha Air plans to launch Pokhara – Lucknow route starting from Spring 2010.
