I dont know if you’ve noticed but I went to quite a few parties or almost all of the Nepali parties in 2010. So, it only makes sense for me to blog about some parties worth mentioning about.
My party year began a bit late but definitely on a rocking start with Parcha’s Aunai Parcha in April. This party literally for me was like Gurkha Cup at night, check out the pictures and my little review here
TopEvent UK’s 1 Night Only
This was another event which saw many firsts happening. The scale of the marketing to promote this party – phenomenal. It was all over facebook, from firecrackers in the club, to videos and all. TopEvent
Foam Party This was undoubtedly the best party of 2010 for me. The concept was different, people slated this party so much even before it began ”boka matra aucha”, ”dress bhijcha” and all the what not. I got there very last minute and enjoyed like no other party. Yes it was packed but its about the company you’re with. Go with entertaining people and the rest as they say is history.
Party UK Nepal’s Tihar Mega Dance
Similar to Parcha and TopEvent this was another humongously promoted event
– Nepals Top Event management company coming to the UK
said the flyer. The expectations was high, the FB event page said 1400 attending but in the end the event only had 2 dancefloors and they too werent packed. I guess the FB’s event list is just a faux pas these days.
|See What I mean – It was like Oxford Street inside a club
|Zone-N9’s London Nite
Probably the biggest event
of the year, in terms of those attending. This party was so big… such a success that people found it difficult to dance. Now thats an advantage for some, its easy to poke other people and not be known and to rub yourself with others. If that floats your boat. Thank god for the raised platform 🙂
|Its about who you go with.
Masquerade This low-key event was full of men… they call it sausage-fest these days. But hey, there was great music and being accompanied by a good group of friends made Masquerade tie alongside with Foam Party for me as the Best Party of 2010.
Let me know which party was the best for you – Vote for the Party of 2010 below. People are complaining these days saying all the parties are the same. But what do you expect? Most venues are more or less very similar. You sleep on a bed, the frame might be different but it lets you sleep. Just like that the venue might be different but the purpose is for you to dance. Also, its easy for one to expect so much and be disappointed. Thats why just dont have high expectations. Lastly I’ll leave you with a picture of me from Zone-N9 and Parcha Productions Visit Nepal 2011 party. Now one word to sum that party up; chaotic.
