Nepal got the worst result ever in its history of the World Cup as it was defeated 9-0 by Jordan in the second round of World Cup Qualifiers for 2014 FIFA World Cup on Saturday in Amman, Jordan at the Amman International Stadium.
The second leg of the match will be held at the Dasharat Stadium in Kathmandu on Thursday. Earlier, Nepal had defeated East Timor 7-1 in aggregate during the first round at the Dasharath Stadium.
After such a good team spirit and reaction from the Nepali audience when they played East Timor, I think all expectations has been flushed away. Oh No Nepal. We can only pray for the
team.
Bad day for Nepali football. Gutted. The worst Nepali deafeat was 16-0 against S Korea for 2003 WC Qualifiers.
🙁
the results is so disappointing, and i can’t help but think there is foul play involved etc corruption somewhere in the nepal team, cuz i am aware that nepalese guys can do better, soooo much better that this.
Nepal still has a lot to do..lot to see..lot to face..n then only it will show some day..
or say lets hope it that way..
gud luck Nepal..
Nepal Unites,
Let us make the coming week as Nepalese Nepal concerned week. let’s try to make the coming Monday, to be a day where all the Nepalese Facebook users make Nepali Flag as their profile picture. Let us pray for our nation’s prosperity. Lets be part of परिवर्तनका लागि हामी नेपाली एक
“PLEASE share this to as many Nepalese u can, lets try it”
Nepal government needs to fund on sports! There are so many talented nepali people who plays football, basketball, badminton, volleyball etc. but when you represent your small country with not much funds for training, equipments and safety you are bound to be weaker than the next country who have everything before hand. We can’t blame our sportsman/woman. Yes Nepal does have a long way to go but it is entirely up to the government to realize that!
