Nepal at South Asian Beach Games

The first ever South Asian Beach Games kicked off at Hambantota, Sri Lanka on the 8th October and will go on till the 14th of this month. There are 359 athletes from eight different South Asian games participating in this event and as you may have guessed by now most of the sports are beach based such as beach volleyball, beach football, beach kabbadi, beach handball etc.

I hear you asking the burning question, what’s the update on Nepal. Well according to the official South Asian Beach Games website Nepal currently has:

Gold :
Equestrian (Rings and Pegs)

Bronze :

Equestrian – Individual Lance

Equestrian – Rings and Peg

Football – Mens

Beach Kabbadi – Mens

Beach Kabbadi – Womens
Five Medals! That’s pretty great for a country without a beach, there can only be improvement. Backing Team Nepal 🙂
