Hema Shrestha’s CURVES COUTURE

Hema Shrestha in her new avatar!

Popular Nepali model Hema Shrestha started her first business venture CURVES COUTURE on 17th August 2012 with an aim to provide international high-street labels in Kathmandu. Though the products maybe high-street range, the store boasts of posh interior and friendly faces. Be sure to drop by, it’s right next door to Bhat Bhateni supermarket in Pulchowk. Apart from housing clothes from international stores such as River Island, H&M and TOPSHOP, Curves Couture also offers selected designs from Astik Sherchan’s new pre-fall 2012 collection. Those my friends are Made in Nepal goodies.

The stores mission to provide quality and fashionable clothes comes with a price from Nrs 2000 to Nrs 30,000. Apart from clothes you can find yourself browsing over accessories, bags and shoes. Fair enough, all sounds good. However, I’ve always wondered why there hasn’t been a spurt of similar shops that caters to men. I believe creating such nice classy shops will definitely lure the upper middle-class men and business professionals for a spot of retail therapy once in a while. Just my thought.

The store has plans to launch their very own VIP Card for loyal shoppers and we might also see an exclusive Hema Shrestha line for Curves. I hear it will comprise of nice elegant cocktail dresses. Sounds good, hope I see some stuff for men when I visit 😉
