We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone that attended our party, The Bunker’s Party on Saturday 19th January. We were all aware of the weather conditions and how cold it must have been for some of you that travelled from far. Nonetheless, we hope you found warmth in our party and had a safe journey back home. As usual, when we, Esha, Shruti, Sarala and I organize parties – its because we enjoy parties, music and dancing. So you’ll probably spot us mostly on the photos. After all, afno party ma afule ramailo na gare, kasle garne haina ra?

We want to thank the HawaChex Entertainment team for taking photos and DJ CVA, without his beats there wouldnt have been a party. Most importantly we want to thank all of you guys, friends and new friends for attending the night and making it a memorable one for us.

You can check out the photos on the HawaChex Entertainment FB Page. Now you’ve bunked a night off, study and work hard everyone… we might see you in the Summer.

  2. Easy Ram Khadkaji…..
dont stereotype yesari…… I have more bahun and chettri mates than others and guess what? they all drink more than I can…… dont know who is matwali here? Lol….. anyway they all dutifully take their janai out and keep it safely in their wallet before going for serious round of drinks!! Meet them once and you will be have change your definition of matwali….

    good day

  3. @ram khadkha – that’s very uncalled for, you don’t know anyone of these people, their names, their ambitions, etc. so please don’t judge before you actually speak to any of them and listen to who they are.

It’s just a party for feck sake, you don’t go to parties or do something to take your mind off things? Parties don’t always have to be about spending lots of money on drinks, and I’m sure the losers are in the minority. They can be positive experiences, most just want a good time, a chance to meet friends or make new ones, and just let their hair down.

And don’t bring ethnic politics into this, these are young kids, most of them don’t aspire to create ‘special regions’ – just the right to live free, equally and in co-exist peacefully with others. Otherwise, you can take your racist shit elsewhere.

And if you must know, I’m a Chettri myself, and I don’t hesitate to say Chettri Baun have historcally done more damage to Nepal than anyone else.

But this is a different time now, we ALL have a chance to get along, there is no point in being racist for institutions we didn’t create. Fuck the past, change the future.

    Party on!

  4. all ur comment are baseless i am a peaceful person but the situation has gone too far now, i met a germane tourist in nepal he said he travelled to hong kong and saw all the Nepali boys fighting and using drugs and suprised to see the kind polite hospitality of nepal at its people well in hong kong the nepali are alll matwalii all u rai magar gurung newar tmg mongol people are dumbsiht.

    • You want to talk to an educated person Ram, here I am, why not pick on somebody “your own size”, that is given that you are as educated as you think you are… First I’ll have you know that the majority of these youths are highly educated, many of which are either in the process of or have completed their degrees, some are even in the advanced stages of their postgraduate studies, so before you go off on a rant about who is educated, know the people that you are disparaging first. And no offence Ram, I usually try not to resort to judging people based on how they deliver a narrative but you’ve made me realise that somebody needs to put you in your place. The standard of English in which you have written is in no way emblematic of the academic credibility for which you pertain to possess. Review the standard and the substance for which Lex writes and then compare it to your own and then ask yourself, is Lex uneducated?

You seem to suggest that social morality is in some way proportional to education; there are times where such an hypothesis holds substance, but I’d like to draw attention to the flaws in your standpoint. I should ask you then why is it that study after study after study has proven that indivduals from more conservative cultures and lifestyles tend to be less educated than those whom are liberal? That is not a reflection of my personal opinion, that is merely the narrative transpired from peer review journals. Such differential cultures need not geographical disparity, they can be right in your own back yard.

You also seem to find justification to insinuate mongols as being inferior to the so-called Aryan groups of Nepal (those being Chettris and Bahuns), but then may I ask, so how do you feel that so many youths of Bahun and Chettri descent seem to enjoy the same contemporary liberties and lifestyle as those whom your own eyes see in these images? Will you begin to defame you’re own in the same way you’ve done to them? Will you then commit to generalising an entire community based on what you perceive to be a deficiency in the dispensational morality?

You may keep all the stones you want my friend, but do not throw them at anyone else, in other words, nobody is asking you to progress/regress with the lifestyles of these youths, nobody is interfering in how you run your life, nobody has done anything to affect your life and nobody probably ever will. If you are that particular about how these people run their lives, then go back to a provinicial village somewhere and live your life the way you want it, but do not tell others how to live theirs.

In truth an educated person goes beyong just academia my friend, it is also about how one conveys themselves; discerns others; absorbs the papability for which their senses experience; pass judgement based on logic, rationale and understanding; reflects on their own shortcomings and acknowledges their biases, and establishes their contributions to societal dynamics. Until you learn to do these things my friend, it is futile of you to refer to yourself as “educated”.

Let me conclude by saying that you have a lot of growing up to do Ram and I suggest that you reflect on this post that I have provided you today. I suggest you come back only when you learn to apologise or in the very least keep your opinions to yourself.

  5. For Aryan: don’t argue with idiots, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience…. jai nepal

    • He clearly has no proper life experience, so he has nothing to beat me with and if nobody teaches him, he’ll probably never get the “education” that he so pretentiously claims he has. Almost everybody deserves some form of guidance in their life, even if many believe they don’t need it, otherwise how else do the majority of us learn in life? Hardened criminals probably wouldn’t get rehabilitated without councillors nor may children develop their minds without teachers. Its somewhat true when you implied that its best not try to get through to those whom are impervious, such as Ram, but I look at that as a last resort, I guess in a way I still have hope in humanity, where even a person such as Ram can turn his ways around. Besides, I would only be bringing myself down to his level if I emulated his mannerism in retaliation.

      • You are a jewel! Thank you for saying what my heart is trying to say!
You closed your first comment in a most heroic way; Grow up Ram Khadka

Unfortunately Aryan, people like us who still try to hope and trust in our brother and sisters seem to let down more than not 🙁

    • hahha … well khadka ji the hard workers and talented ( bahuns chettris ) as you say is running the country nepal … that means nepal should be like singapore or japan ?? but guess what here is the reality .. the poorest and corrupt contry in world … hows that mr. khadka

  6. Ram khadka bhanne jantu education ko kura garchass . ta mujhi le jati pade ni k garis ? Tero jaat janai halis aarkako lifestyle ma interference garera . tero jat ko haru ta over harib huncha aafno cheli maeti bigreko dekheko chu mero najik chimeki haru . lastly Rame khadka u just fuck urself n dont write matwali get lost bahun katha chettri jhata he he he.

  7. Peace everyone!

There are different types of people with different age, different experiences, different thoughts, different opinions, different feelings, different lifestyle, different living standards and so on.

Age differences and daily life experiences(for instance: situations that comes to you in real) is what makes people think, behave and react differently according to different situations.

I will not say some, but, there are people who are aged(matured in a sense) and has experienced a lot on various unforeseen situations, which they might not have ever expected to face; such kind of people will know what is wrong and right, how to behave accordingly and will understand what life is all about.

But there are also some people, who are not aged yet but still growing up and experiencing new things slowly. Such kind of people think, behave and react differently which in more chances of getting it wrong, hurting others and causing verbal racial wars like happening on this blog site.

So, we all should understand and wait for everyone to be socially educated (not only academically) and let them experience more things to be more educated and understand “Everyone is different”.

Nepal, one of the poorest country in the World. I feel shame and plus very very sad at the same time. I always think about how can I bring changes and develop my country rather than taking my mind in racial stuffs like happening on this blog. I always think about how can I give free education to all the Nepali citizens who are poor and lives in poverty. Giving and spreading general knowledge(education) is also very crucial if people cannot afford for their academic education.

Civilization is very important but it doesn’t mean, only the academically educated people can be a civilized person but people who are not that highly educated or even not educated at all can be a civilized person. How? Due to their social general education and experiences.

Country gets developed only if there is a unite on everything and if there is no age and racial discrimination. These are the main core pillars to develop country and after that, education and experience comes along.

  8. @Ram Kahdka
It is so appalling and sad that people like you still exists in this world. It is perfectly fine if you wanted to say the youth of Nepal should focus less on partying and drinking. But why do you have to bring caste-ism into it by specifically targeting certain groups. That just makes you a pathetic and racist hypocrite. Have you never touched alcohol? I doubt that. In this day and age, Bahuns and Chetris have NO right to say others as Matwalis when they themselves eat chicken and pork and beef, and drink alcohol like crazy motherfckers. If you still believe in Caste and all that shit, you should also know that even touching alcohol and meat will automatically make you a out-caste yourself. Get it? See the double standard hypocrisy and thinking shitheads like you have which is why our country can never move forward. So stop with your self aggrandizing shit and stop thinking from your ass once in a while.
