I recently finished reading Anil Chitrakar’s book ‘Take The Lead – Nepal’s Future Has Begun’ and I sincerely hope that this book will be published in Nepali for a wider national reach. The message that this book gives is of hope and an encouragement for Nepalis to be resilient, this message should be read by everyone. His writing draws comparisons between different countries, comes with many examples and balances out the good and bad. Whilst some may be very skeptical reading the line “Nepal’s Future Has Begun”, I assure you he doesn’t sugarcoat everything and make it seem like Nepal is perfect. But he certainly emphasizes on why there is a strong necessity for Nepalis to act now for that bright future.
Like most times, reading this book also made me question myself ‘Where Do I Fit In?’. But I believe its not about fitting in anymore, it’s about me creating space for myself in that area.
Its only 112 pages long, Nrs 299 and definitely worth a read. You can buy it at various bookshops around Kathmandu, online through Muncha and Bhatbhateni or even buy yourself a digital Kindle edition on Amazon (UK).
