NOW here’s something for all the aspiring poets spread across the world! 

BHAVISYAVANI is a Nepali poem competition for people under 30 with the theme of ‘Future of Nepal’. The international competition calls upon aspiring poets from all over with the Top 20 poems to be selected for the grand event on August 27 in Kathmandu. It gets even better! A panel of judges will select the Top 3 poems and the poets will be awarded cash prizes of Nrs 50,000, Nrs 25,000 and Nrs 10,000 respectively! The Top 20 poems will also be published in a book.

The sole objective of project Bhavisyavani is to improve the existing scenario for literary enthusiasts active in Nepali language, mainly from the younger generation, through an annual competition, recitation event, online archive and publication in print medium. The competition is being organised by London based online magazine DREAMS.

The deadline for the submission is August 18, 2015 and it only costs Nrs 100 for people from Nepal and $5 for people outside of Nepal to participate. Submission can be made ONLINE and OFFLINE – submit the poems at Orchid International College – Gaushala, Kantipur City College – Putalisadak, Coffee Talk Marco Polo Building – Hattisar, Yuwa – opposite Russian Embassy and National Volunteers’ Program opposite Malpi Institute – Baluwatar. You can follow the link –  HERE – which has everything explained.

कविता प्रतियोगिताका नियमहरू

१. कविता नितान्त मौलिक हुनुपर्नेछ।
२. कविता बढिमा ५०० शब्द मात्र हुनुपर्नेछ।
३. रचनाकारको उमेर ३० नकटेको हुनुपर्नेछ।
४. एक जना व्यक्तिले जति पटक पनि कविता बुझाउन सक्नुहुनेछ तर प्रतेक कविताका लागि नेपालबाट ने. रू १०० र विदेशबाट अमेरिकी डलर ५ शुल्क बुझाउनु पर्नेछ।
