The experience which aims to reconnect Nepalese living abroad to Nepal, Tracing Nepal will be back in September. The 2016 experience will be two-weeks long and will visit CYF’s Life Vision Academy in Bade Goan, Sablakhu Gau in Taplejung and Chitwan National Park. The unique experience combines travel and learning; with the belief that tourism can act as a development tool in rural communities.
Since the beginning in 2014, Tracing Nepal has collaborated with various organisations and schools such as Maya Universe Academy, Red Panda Network and this year will be the first with Children and Youth First. The activities that the team members will be doing consist of construction, farmwork, education and sight-seeing.
The applications went live on TracingNepal.com in mid-March and will be closed on April 19th. Requirements for the TN16 experience is that all applicants have to be 18 or over and must be Nepali or of Nepali heritage. The individual cost for the 14 day experience is £400 British Pounds, this includes accommodation, transportation and catering.
