The GAJALU premiere took place at the EMPIRE in Aldershot on Sunday May 29th with Shristi Shrestha, producer Rohit Adhikari and event coordinator and model/choreographer Prasant Tamrakar. The film which stars Anmol KC, Menuka Pradhan, Gaurav Pahari, Salon Basnet (and many more) is an all-out entertainer that follows the story of five friends. GAJALU by Hem Raj BC also marks the debut of Shristi Shrestha.
I personally found the film very enjoyable and must say that Menuka Pradhan and Salon Basnet have done a stellar job. After seeing Shristi’s incredible performance in HAMLET, I am very happy to see her work in GAJALU as a shy timid former Kumari. She does her character very well and is at ease on-screen. I would love for her to do roles like Ophelia from HAMLET in Nepali films in the future too because that was spectacular.
Shristi and Rohit thanked the audience for attending the screening before the start of the film. In a brief interaction with Sarala Thapa, Shristi spoke about GAJALU and took on questions from fans and well-wishers. The former Miss Nepal shared that she was wearing Astik Sherchan.
