Escape Animation’s latest short “TALE OF A DOG” follows the journey of a loving dog called Snow who lives in Kathmandu with his family. Unfortunately, Snow is lost amongst the crowd and the chaos of the city and what unravels is frankly a sad tale of Snow.
The video by Escape Animation for Sneha’s Care aims to raise awareness about the welfare of dogs in Nepal. Sneha’s Care is a registered charity by Sneha Shrestha to assist street dogs in Kathmandu. The animal charity is on a mission to STOP street dogs from torture, cruelty or ill usage of any kind. The charity which follows the no kill policy was established in 2015 when it opened a shelter to house 50 dogs. Since then, Sneha’s Care have been running outreach campaigns where they have provided vaccination to treat street dogs and so far vaccinated 2500 street dogs and rescued more than 1000 dogs.
Most of the costs of the shelter and other programmes are funded directly by Sneha, the Founder of Sneha’s Care. Only 10% of the costs are at the moment covered by individual donations.
