An international standard concrete skate park, the ANNAPURNA SKATE PARK has been introduced by Make Life Skate Life in the lake city! Taking just 15 days to complete the skate park with over $18,000 USD raised on IndieGogo, the construction of the 400m2 concrete skate park consisted of professional skate park builders from around the world as well as many volunteers from Nepal. The ANNAPURNA SKATE PARK comes with a beginners track where the young can come and learn as they please. The new skate park is located on the premises of Pokhara Stadium.
Refurb Skate, a female skate initiative from New Zealand, will host a three week long skateboard workshop at Annapurna Skatepark, targeting females to come and skate the park. Make Life Skate Life is a volunteer-run collective of international skatepark builders that creates free of charge community-built skateparks around the world. Projects achieve success and sustainability through local community involvement from start to finish.
The video is by Nina Constable and Samantha Robison. I am loving the location of the ANNAPURNA SKATE PARK. We definitely need to support and encourage more action for the community such as this.
Thank you Make Life Skate Life for coming to Nepal.
