The iPhone Of Lamps – Heng Balance Lamp

With its sleek curve and smooth edges, the Heng Balance Lamp makes a unique decoration for the room. Of course, as the title reads it actually happens to be a lamp – a very unique one. The Heng Balance Lamp by Chinese designer Li Zan Wen has already won the 2016 Red Dot Award and the Red Dot Award Best of the Best. The lamps floating switch, controlled by two wooden balls makes this a desirable product. You simply turn on the lamp by lifting the lower wooden ball which will then be pulled by the the magnetic force of the hanging ball and they will both remain suspended in mid-air, illuminating your room.

The minimal design and seeing this modern floating switch certainly brings an air of serenity on my mind. Whilst it can be used for the study room, home office or the living room, my Heng Balance Lamp sits comfortably on my bedside. The lamp is available in three variations and also in plastic. I definitely prefer my beech wood lamp though. The prices for the lamp start at USD $45 and can be purchased through allocacoc.
