Making Travel In Nepal More Accessible

Pokhara will be hosting a three-day international conference on Accessible Adventure from March 29 this month. The countrys first accessible trekking trail will also be inaugurated on March 30 as part of the conference. As Nepal is keen on improving its services for disabled tourists, it hopes the new 1.3km trekking trail will be a move towards the right direction. The Accessible Adventure conference in Pokhara will be organised by the US based International Development Institute.

Few months ago, the country brought a new regulation which led to the Himalayas being off limits for disabled climbers. The move has come as a blow to disabled mountaineers with dreams of climbing Mount Everest.
