It’s time to learn Mandarin y’all! Nepali Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari launched a Nepal tourism website in Chinese language on Monday. The first quarter of 2018 saw Chinese tourist arrivals to the country surpass India and with growing air connectivity between the two countries, Minister Adhikari and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong launched the website in Kathmandu hoping to encourage more Chinese tourists to visit the country. Looks like it’s high time we take off to learn Mandarin and Cantonese. Also, improve WiFi and better our Chinese food skills – to woo the Chinese tourists coming to Nepal. Lolz! Add Air Condition facilities everywhere too – I joke on that one. Let’s work in a way where we do not harm the environment.
The ‘Welcome Nepal‘ website in Chinese, includes information of various destinations as well as different activities and information on and around Nepal. The website hopes to be a one-stop point for potential Chinese tourists thinking about visiting Nepal. Nepal’s next big tourism year campaign is the ‘Visit Nepal Year 2020‘ where the country hopes to welcome 1.5 million tourists. Hopefully 2018 will see more than 1 Million tourists! Fingers Crossed!

On that note, the only international airport in the country ‘Tribhuvan International Airport‘ will also be in operation for 21 hours every day from the 21st of May! Looks like Minister Adhikari sticks to his words! That’s definitely what we like to see in leaders and change-makers.
