It appears that Himalaya Airlines has stopped its direct flight service between Yangon, Myanmar and Kathmandu. The airline cited low passenger volume being the reason behind the cancellation of the scheduled service between the two cities. The airline which came into service in 2016 has also stopped its direct flight service between Kathmandu and Colombo, Sri Lanka!
Whilst the reduction in its destinations is definitely bad news, the airline has added a new destination in the Middle East! The airline currently flies to Dammam twice a week. Himalaya currently operates three Airbus A320 aircraft. Looks like the Middle East route is definitely the one filling all the seats 😉
