FIRST LOOK : Nepal Airlines ‘ANNAPURNA’ Airbus A330-200 Aircraft

The first wide-body Airbus A330-200 “Annapurna” ordered by Nepal Airlines will arrive in Kathmandu on June 27! The 274-seater aircraft will add to Nepal Airlines current international fleet of two Airbus A320 and Boeing 757 aircraft. The new aircraft is expected to fly from Kathmandu to Dubai from the 1st of August, however there is slight confusion as according to the managing director of NAC Sugat Ratna Kansakar, the aircraft may fly Kathmandu – Doha – Kathmandu initially. The ferry-flight, the journey from France to Kathmandu will take approximately 8.5 hours. Of course, this is a hugely anticipated moment for Nepal Airlines so there will – unsurprisingly – be an event to welcome the first Airbus A330-200 to the NAC family.

The airline will receive its second Airbus A330-200 aircraft within a month (or possibly more) after receiving the first one. Nepal Airlines grand vision consists of connecting Kathmandu to South Korea, Japan, Australia as well as increasing the frequency of flights to existing destinations. The Nepali diaspora in the UK will hope for the best… may we fly NA from London to Kathmandu one day!
