Nepal Airlines Marks The Big 60 And Welcomes Annapurna Airbus A330-200

Founded on the 1st of July, 1958 – Nepal Airlines Cooperation officially completes 60th year of commercial operation today. The airline marked a new milestone on Thursday this week with the delivery of its first wide-body aircraft ‘Annapurna’ Airbus A330-200. The aircraft received a grand welcome at Tribhuvan International Airport. The new aircraft is set to fly from the 1st of August.

The addition of Annapurna brings Nepal Airlines international fleet to a total of four aircrafts (1 Boeing 757, 2 Airbus A320). The second Airbus A330-200 will be delivered by the end of July. The aircraft seats a total of 274 passengers (18 in business class and 256 in economy class). It’s time for Nepal Airlines to upgrade its in-flight entertainment system, add more routes, be consistent with its flights and really start acquiring more market share, paying up (as the airline has a lot of money to pay) and hopefully bring more tourists to the country. A lengthy list there!

Nonetheless, here’s to a new chapter for Nepal Airlines!
