Twenty-year old Dipika Badal is among the sixty young people to receive the title of Global Changemakers this year. Dipika who is the current President of ‘WE’ for change, a youth-led Nepali NGO has been recognised for her action in addressing Sexual and Reproductive Health with a special focus on HIV/AIDS. The young changemaker will fly to Switzerland to attend a week-long Global Youth Summit taking place in Aarau, Switzerland from 13 to 19 July. The changemakers who will be hosted by the Mercator Foundation will participate in and lead training sessions, networking and workshops to enhance their campaigning skills, fundraising, project management and more.
The Global Changemakers will also have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to an enabling panel and will be eligible to apply for grant funding to scale existing initiatives or create new projects.

WHAT IS GLOBAL CHANGEMAKERS?
It’s an international youth organisation based in Switzerland that is functional in 180 countries. Created in 2007 under the British Council, it became an independent organisation in 2014 and is a pioneer in supporting youth-led development.
The organisation has worked with over 1000 changemakers and has supported over 320 youth led projects, impacting over four million people.
