The next week will see a transformation of Woolwich in South East London as the town will be swept by a moon themed free street party! The Moon Festival opening party and the wider festival will bring people of different backgrounds, tongues and post codes together through music, art, science, food and an incredible atmosphere that will radiate love and celebrate the moon.
Unsurprisingly, majority of the events will take place in the evening from 6PM onwards increasing in intensity as the evening progresses. From Moon walking tours, poetry in the dark to several parties, Moon Festival hopes to attract many from the Nepalese community in South East London.
The opening street party commences at General Gordon Square from 6PM onwards on Friday 19th July.
