Skylightz Gaming Raises Nrs 5,50,000 By Gaming For Baby Siyona

There tends to be a lot of bad press surrounding the gaming community but there is a lot of good as well! Skylightz Gaming from Banepa came together in support of baby Siyona by donating Nrs 5,50,000 for her treatment. Baby Siyona’s fight against spinal muscular atrophy has swept Nepali social media as her parents and global community of supporters continue their journey to raise $2.3 million US dollars.

The team at Skylightz Gaming raised the total by playing PUBG! How wonderful is that aye? The team shared the update on their Facebook saying “We at Skylightz Gaming feel it’s our responsibility to give help at such times by aiding a small token of 550,000 NPR for her family, and urge everybody to stand with us and give help for this little Girl”. Skylightz Gaming have a vision to become a global esports organisation with the aim of competing in global tournaments. Well they even ended up on TV!! Great going!

Gaming is a huge sector and it has a lot of money! A lot of gamers have been connecting to many worthwhile charities and causes by gaming for good. This is one among many different ways that people are fundraising innovatively. GameBLAST, an annual UK gaming event encourages players to game to raise money for their charity partner SpecialEFFECT. The weekend of gaming at GameBLAST was streamed via Twitch to raise money and the event generated a whopping £140,000 for the charity this year.
