No Nepali Films in Big Cinemas

Indian Cinema chain BIG CINEMAS was launched in Kathmandu’s City Centre mall back in February this year. However, apart from screening Nepali film Pahilo Pahilo Maya alongside My Name Is Khan and Wolverine during the launch week, Big Cinemas has not screened any other Nepali movies till date. We all know Nep Movies may not have the cool factor however several movies have been made lately which has managed to lure thousands to the cinemas ie. First Love and Kohi Mero. When I left a comment asking why Nepali films are avoided on their FB page, my wall post was deleted. #LOL. Kohi Mero’s poster was added on the COMING SOON photo album but the movie wasnt screened and now the picture has been removed, currently there is a picture of Malvika Subba starrer Goodbye Kathmandu. We’ll just have to wait and see if the movie gets a GO ahead from BIG Cinema. Come on readers, lets ask why Nepali movies arent being screened, Share this post with everyone!

  1. indians are simply taking control over nepal, its cinema, slowly it will be resturants, schools, town and so on..indians will do every thing, nepalese will just continue to strick harming eachother while the clever indians will support them to do it..i guess..

  2. Nepalese movies don’t attract the public…and if a business wants to success then their products has to be good aswell ;D …so i dont blame them for not releasing a nepali movie they jus tryna earn some money…but i do think they should show some nepali movie and see what the outcome is 😀 so i dont think the reason behind this is coz dey indian…its jus business
