Dalima Resort which is located near Kurintar has been vandalized by a gang of 30-40 people on Tuesday evening causing up to a loss of 10 million rupees.
”The resort has 31 guest rooms. According to an employee, all rooms, amenities in the rooms and windows were damaged in the attack.
The attackers snatched mobile phones of all 14 employees and put them at a place during the attack. They took an employee with them who returned two hours later.”
This is just sad… why would you do that. Dalima Resort is actually on my itinerary for my summer trip to Nepal, one night at the resort on my way back from Lumbini. The pictures on the post are from 2009.
How long is Nepal going to stay like this? There is probably no backup for the owners. I feel really sorry for the employees. Why did those people have to loot though? Is it result of unemployment or are they just some sort of dacoits trying to live off other people’s earnings? Thats sad.
