Buddha Born In Nepal – Documentary Trailer

Where was Buddha born… That question and the argued answers; India and Nepal, will probably be debated for a long time to come. But here is a trailer for a documentary appropriately titled ‘Buddha Born In Nepal’ directed by Saroj Mahato. The name sounds familiar but I can’t seem to dig up much on him. Looks like the doc is based in South Korea and unlike previous doc’s on the subject of Birthplace of Buddha the director has gone out into the streets to show the real response from people.

Popular Kollywood director Tulsi Ghimire has also announced that he will be making Nepal’s first film in Buddha, another trivial fact is that the movie will be animated. I can see this becoming a tacky ‘My Friend Ganesha’ like film. Come on, Kollywood still hasn’t mastered movie making and jumping to animations is not going to help. Moving on – I have always been vocal about the argument regarding the birthplace of Buddha but I’ve also learnt it is as per each individual’s belief. Some claim the ‘the Buddha’ was born in Bodhgaya, where he was enlightened. ETC. ENJOY THE TRAILER.

  3. Ugh, another never ending debate!

Everyone is well aware where Buddha was born (Lumbini, Nepal) but yeah he attained enlightenment in Bodhgaya (India).
So the main question here is where was Buddha born, not where did Buddha got enlightened. Now the next sentence must be, The end. Fullstop.

We need no any denier of true history :] Jay Nepal !

  4. Is this still a debate???

    I dunn think so?

The main issue arise from Dhoti who think they are superior. U can call me a racist if I say so.

Cause I am aware about various facts evidence and existence of Buddhists history and stuff…

Moreover, India is compelling and trying to create another Prachin Kapilvastu irrespective of prevailing Nepal’s Kapilvastu. Also they are building the same-alike structure all over there that is creating an illusion to foreign Buddhists followers and tourists…

I’ve heard Nepal’s 2nd International Airport which was on its pipeline in Kapilvastu was then changed forcefully to build it somewhere in Bara-Parsa cause Indian Govt. doing the same nearby Artificial Prachin Kapilvastu.

So I do no agrue again that its the fucking cunt India being too tyranny to us… Believe me

  5. Much of what the Buddha taught are beyond dogmas like gender, race and nationality. Seems quite childish to argue where he was born doesn’t it. Its not about where he was born, its about what he taught.
