Calling out all the bojus, aunties, didis and bainis! Asian Mahila Association (AMA) proudly presents its 7th Annual Teej Party! The biggest and most awaited Hindu festival for women is being celebrated at Samuel Cody Sports College (previously Oak Farm School), Farnborough on 8th September from 2 PM – 9PM. Tickets are only £10 in advance but £15 on the door. Save money by dialling their number now.
The party organised by women for women promises you toe tapping dance tunes from Nepali music to Bollywood, mouth watering food by Gurkha Villa and a raffle draw. It’s an event for everyone from bojus, aama, bainis to young nanis.
The AMA Team always manage to pull of a surprise by bringing over a special guest for their event. From heartthrob Kranti Ale to impromptu fashion parade featuring one of you, they have treated their mitinis with a fabulous day. This year they have planned something even bigger for their guests. To find out what their surprise is, go ‘Like’ their Facebook page.
When you buy a ticket you automatically get discount vouchers for Angel Hair Salon in Camberley, Shreyaz Fashion in Aldershot and Friends Unisex Hair & Beauty Salon. As if that wasn’t enough, they have also organised a free Teej puja at Tamudhee Hall, Mytchett on 18th September from 12-3 PM.
It’s not all about the party and having fun. The money raised from the Annual Teej Party is used
to fund different types of causes that come to AMA’s attention. Last year alone AMA donated money towards the victims of Pokhara flooding, Maiti Nepal, women affected by domestic violence and for the funeral of a Nepalese student who had no relatives in the UK.
