Bravest of The Brave, The Story of the Gurkhas is an exhibition that is currently taking place at the Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery (UK) till the 28th April 2013. Nuneaton which is home to The Queen’s Gurkha Signals has a presence of the serving and retired soldiers in the area. The exhibition will look at the history of the Gurkhas, explore what it takes to be one and will showcase the life of a serving Gurkha soldier. It also features a filmed interview with retired Gurkha soldier Robin Rai.
“This is a fascinating insight into the working and civilian lives of an important sector of our local community. I am sure visitors will be fascinated to learn about the Gurkhas’ lifestyle back in Nepal , as serving soldiers and as residents of the borough. We are also delighted to be presenting Gurkha artefacts which have been newly donated to the Museum.”
Cllr Ian Lloyd, Cabinet Member for Arts and Leisure
