Reminding us that there are issues to be dealt within the growing Nepalese community in the UK is Ashika Rai and the team. The University of Salford graduate Ashika and the team will be providing Free English Coaching classes for young Nepalis of Aldershot and the surrounding area from 5th August to 28th August 2013. The Source on the High Street of Aldershot will be where the classes will take place every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The project not only aims to teach English to young Nepalis but also to develop a greater understanding of the laws, rules and regulations of the UK.
The past few years has been difficult for millions of people in the UK with unemployment and a tough environment for young people. For a lot of Nepalis moving over to the UK, the transition from Nepal to UK will undoubtedly be a difficult time in their life. It’s great to have figures who are trying their best to ease the transition and help young people. Kudos to the Naya Yuva team in Aldershot who are pioneers of putting the Nepali youths in focus and creating a positive environment for them. I must say, the recent bhetghat event for the elder Nepalis of Aldershot organized by Durga Gurung was also a very thoughtful initiative.
Coming back to the point, if you have time then please get in contact with Ashika and assist with the classes. More importantly, this is for young Nepalis, so if you are aware of anyone who might benefit from these lessons then please spread the word about this happening.Class Times Monday – 6.30 – 7.30 Tuesday – 6.00 – 7.00 Wednesday – 6.00 – 7.00 Read More: Uniting People – Aldershot Aldershot and Gurkhas – The Saga
