BELIEVERS consists of a group of young individuals working towards building strong human relationship to make the world a better place, starting from Nepal. Their grass-root approach to helping the community has made Believers trustworthy and reliant. The group recently collaborated with Educate Nepal Initiative to organize a winter camp and clothing drive in December 2013. The team distributed 37 bags of clothes, 440 hats, 120 school bags in 3 different Chepang villages of northern Chitwan.
Another wonderful project by the Believers team! Also a great way to mix volunteering and tourism together. To see the full set of photos, head over to their Facebook page.
BELIEVERS on the recent winter clothing drive and camping:
“This was our 2nd year in the region. We also went there last year with Educate Nepal Initiative to distribute clothes and stationery with 8 other volunteers.
It was a 3 nights/4 days camping trip where we had to drive for extra one hour from the main highway of Chitwan and walk for 3-4 hours a day for 3 days to distribute them in the different villages. We have also had the support of the students from the village who helped us carry those load but all the team members and volunteers equally carried the loads. On the 2nd day we hired 5 porters as the load was excessive to be carried by ourselves and we didnt have students helping us this time.”

APPEAL: Now we have new project of providing stationery for 220 students of 2 schools there. We have estimated the budget of Rs1000 per student per year for stationery. So we need 220 people from kathmandu city who wants to sponsor stationery for those students.
