Huge congratulations to Professor Padam Simkhada for being appointed as the Associate Dean of Liverpool John Moores University in the UK! Apparently, Professor Simkhada is the first Nepali to be appointed to a high level academic post in a university outside of Nepal. That’s even more amazing! He’s a Professor of International Public Health at the Centre of Public Health in the university.
Professor Simkhada who hails from Baglung in Nepal completed his studies from Tribhuvan University and obtained his PhD from Southamton University in 2003. He has previously worked in University of Sheffield, University of Aberdeen, Save the Children (UK) and Ministry of Health in Nepal.
A lot of his research articles are focused on Nepal.
