Lord’s Cricket Ground also known as the Home of Cricket will host the friendly between the Nepal national cricket team and Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) on Tuesday 19 July, 2016. It will be the first time MCC have played Nepal at Lord’s and the teams will play the 50-over match on the same pitch that was used for the test match. The unique event is part of the celebration of 200 Years UK-Nepal bilateral relations initiated by Cricket Association of Nepal and supported by the Embassy of Nepal, London and Foreign Commonwealth Office, UK. The Lord’s cricket ground which seats up to 28,000 in St. John’s Wood, London is expecting thousands of Nepalese living in the UK and beyond to attend this historic game.

The friendly between Nepal and MCC XI will also be significant for the British Nepalese Community to show the strength of the community for a common goal. The event which has tickets priced for adults at an affordable £10 will be supporting the Gurkha Welfare Trust.

Whether you watch cricket or not, you should definitely attend to witness this big moment for our diaspora community and obviously to support our boys too! The boys have done us proud repeatedly in the past and let’s show them how much we’re rooting for them.
