Facebook is currently testing its new feature ‘Facebook Stories‘ on its Facebook App in Ireland! The new feature is very much similar to Instagram Stories and will let users add videos and photos on Facebook Stories via the mobile app which will remain for 24 hours. Users will be able to add filters and location tags on the Stories feature and it will not appear on the timeline or newsfeed! Well well well – sounds pretty similar to Snapchat Stories aye!
Facebook understands that people are sharing photos and videos more now than ever and it’s trying its best to accommodate to its users needs. It will be interesting to see how Facebook users respond to this new feature as I believe people tend to use Facebook in a different manner in comparison to Instagram or Snapchat.
The social media hopes to bring Facebook Stories to more countries around the world in the next few months. Probably a case of sooner rather than later.
Hmmm! It’s a bit intense these days especially since everyone’s a content creator, story teller and everyone has their own audience – and at the same time – it makes you think, who’s actually watching and listening. Hmm!
PS. It’s time for me to get unlimited internet allowance on my phone with all these social media apps and what not. Ahhhh.
