The Gold Masquerade themed charity ball by The Arora Charitable Foundation raised nearly £700,000 on Saturday, 3rd of December! The foundation which was established by Surinder and Sunita Arora manages charitable work of the Arora Group! The Aroral Ball 2016 was held in aid of UNICEF’s work in the aftermath of the Nepal earthquake disaster and Shiksha Ki Ore, a campaign by Indian network NDTV in partnership with the Kalinga Institute Of Social Sciences which helps educate underprivileged children in India.
The evening saw some fantastic auction prizes including an exclusive glamour experience with UNICEF Ambassador and supermodel Claudia Schiffer, Sir Cliff Richard’s personal car ‘Mercedes 500SL’ and a private tour of Coco Chanel’s apartment. The live auction raised over £215,000. The ball took place at the Group’s newest flagship hotel InterContinental London.
Sir Cliff Richard was ecstatic to see his personal car fetch £50,000 for the foundation. He added “It was not only a pleasure but also a privilege to participate in and attend the Arora Ball, which benefits such worthy causes. I was delighted to be able to support Surinder and Sunita Arora and am thrilled that auctioning of my car raised so much money for such wonderful causes.”
Amazing! Another great night by the Arora Charitable Foundation!
