Lake District Lights Up For Nepal

In a remarkable show of support, more than six-hundred people braved the unpredictable British weather for the Festival of Light in Lake District on Saturday to light up the hills creating three string of lights representing Nepalese prayer flags. The money raised from the event will be supporting the charity PHASE Worldwide. This comes just days after Nepal marked the second year after the Nepal earthquake 2015 which took place on the 25th of April.

The support extended by the general British public during the time of the earthquake and till now for the people of Nepal is simply astonishing. The support shown by the volunteers and team at Festival of Light is another beautiful example of the kindness of people.
