Marking International Dance Day With Shrena And Dipshikha

Introduced by the International Dance Council back in 1892, April 29th marks the INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY with the sole aim to promote the art of dance around the world. A video by Shrena and Dipshikha from Kathmandu simply shows what dance means to the young ladies. The rhythm, the steps, the ripples, dance is a way of life for millions of people across the world. In this simple video filmed on the roof terrace of a building, Shrena and Dipshikha have transformed the everyday space into their dance studio. It’s also an example that you don’t need the immaculate large rooms of the fitness suite with back to front mirrors to practice dance. You do it as you go, incorporating the space and structures around you.

Happy International Dance Day!
