NAMASTE EID Festival Held In Kathmandu

The first ever open Eid Festival, NAMASTE EID took place on June 28th in Kathmandu marking the end of Ramadan. The festival which was free and open for all was organised to foster unity among the different religions in Nepal and also share the work, food and culture of Muslims. From Halal food to melodious music and performances, Namaste Eid was a celebration of the religion as well as a glimpse into the religion for non-Muslims. The event which took place at the Hotel Annapurna showcased a fashion show ‘The Hijab, Modestly Modern’ by Nuzhat Qazi, soulful Sufi Music from “Ankit Babu Adhikari and Band” and “Ankit Shrestha and Band”. The event was hosted by Miss Nepal International 2012 Subeksha Khadka.
