The airline which celebrated its 20th anniversary last year will be connecting Kathmandu to Kolkata in India from September 1. Buddha Air hopes to attract tourists from India to visit Nepal with the launch of its Kathmandu – Kolkata flights. Making the announcement, the airline mentioned that the preparation and research has been well underway for the route. The Nepali airline will fly three times a week using its ATR 72-500 for the flights. Air India is the only airline currently connecting the two cities. The Indian city is the capital of West Bengal state.
After establishing flights between Pokhara to Bharatpur from 2017, Buddha Air is set to continue its work in increasing the domestic air network with the launch of Pokhara – Nepalgunj flights from April 14, 2018. The airline will be conducting one flight daily from Pokhara to Nepalgunj.
Buddha Air are definitely upping their game! With flights to India, within Nepal and announcement of Airbus A320 for full-scale international operations – the airline has always been the one to watch out for.
