New York based journalist Kishor Panthi released his book KAMPAN in Kathmandu at a ceremony attended by former Prime Ministers of Nepal, Madhav Kumar Nepal and Dr Baburam Bhattarai. The book launch came just few days before the third anniversary of the April 25th Nepal earthquake. In the book, Panthi confronts the readers with the many untold stories of loss, resilience and triumph after the tragic seismic shift.
The powerful read is divided into six segments with stories that you simply do not want to skip away from. The author has penned down riveting interviews and brought stories of several people whose lives were affected in different ways by the earthquake. Panthi, a well known journalist is currently working as the editor-in-chief of KHASOKHAS, a monthly Nepali magazine published and circulated in USA.
I’ll let you know my thoughts about the book when I get a hold of a copy. But if you beat me to it, let me know what you think!
