January is the time of the year for the whole “New Year – New Me” hooha but for these few hundred young Nepali men that line could not be more fitting! The training camp in Catterick Garrison has received the latest batch of Gurkha recruits fresh from Nepal. The new arrivals faced tough competition against thousands to secure their position to train in Catterick. The new recruits will be at the barracks in Catterick Garrison for the next nine months until joining different regiments across the country later in 2014.
Ahh – brings back memories from when I used to live in Catterick and also at the recruitment camp in Pokhara!
Wishing them all the best!
