Just three months into 2014 and the year is already off to a great start for London based Nepali student Shreya Paudel. The University of Middlesex student who recently ran for the position of International Students Officer at the National Union of Students was officially elected as the international students officer at the NUS International Students Conference. Shreya will be representing 600,000 international students of the UK from July onwards. The young activist will be campaigning and lobbying on their behalf on the national level. Shreya is the first Nepali student elected to a full-time position in NUS.
Congratulations Shreya! First – Guardian’s list of inspiring students and now this? Here’s to hoping for many more!
