Not everything is doom and gloom in Nepal. Many things are happening across the country and whilst they may not be as visible as certain changes such as the road widening taking place, they are changing the lives of many Nepalis. On the occasion of International Day for the Eradication of Poverty 2014 (October 17), UNDP Nepal produced a video titled Poverty to Prosperity highlighting many initiatives and programmes that has been taking place across the country. Whilst some haven’t been as fruitful as planned, there have been several success stories that has boosted Nepal’s position midst it’s South Asian counterparts.

In the course of the next few weeks I will be writing more about various programmes that have brought a transformation in the lives of Nepali people.
