UEL Nepalese Society Win Big At 7th Inter-University Nepalese Dance Competition

The 7th inter-university Nepalese dance competition came to London this year! This years event was hosted by 2018 winner University of Roehampton Nepalese Society on June 8th in Stratford with thirteen Nepalese societies from across the UK coming together to compete for the title. University of East London Nepalese Society won the title this year followed by Middlesex University Nepalese Society x University of Bedfordshire Nepalese Society (collaboration) and UCL Nepalese Society x Queen Mary University of London Nepalese Society (collaboration).

The judges for the event were Samir Gurung, Sujata Rai Basnet, Jenny Sunuwar and Bishnu Gaire. The winning society took home £1000 cash prize with the first runner-up taking £500 followed by £300 for the second runner-up.

The event was sponsored by Joon Festival, O12 Bar and Grill Stratford and Essential Beautyworks, Plumstead. An after-party by Vibes Entertainment and Roehampton Nepalese Society followed the dance competition.
