Here’s warm video that will add a smile on your face today. Baje Bajai’s in Woolwich show us how it’s done as they dance to Sajjan Raj Vaidya‘s beautiful song Phutki Jaaney Jovan. The video was shared on YouTube by Farak Squad last month. The all-dancing group from London consists of Nepalis based in UK and Europe.
This special video was a result of Farak Squad collaborating with Hamro BajeBajai, a small charity based in South East London that provides number of services for the elderly Nepalese population including befriending and mentoring sessions. It’s great to see the different ways that baje bajai’s are interacting with wider society as well as young Nepalese. Social interaction goes a long way for ones health and wellbeing especially during Covid19.
Huge kudos to Farak Squad for taking that step forward and building a bridge with the Hamro BajeBajai team to create this video! Amazing things happen when we work together. Brilliant action and message. Adorable dancing by the baje bajai’s and how sweet is the song by Sajjan Raj Vaidya. I only discovered it like few weeks ago (I am so late).
