With only few days left till the end of global #PrideMonth, we have the Pride story of Suvam on the blog today. Suvam wears the Pride Nepal Elephant Tee designed by Square Studio from Metaphor x lexlimbu. The young gay man was recently seen in the social experiment video where he stood in Basantapur and Thamel, asking for hugs. Thankfully, a good number of people came over and hugged Suvam!
Unsurprisingly, there are many negative comments online. This simply goes to show how it is so necessary for LGBTIQ+ education and awareness in society. I am hopeful we will get there. With individuals like Suvam, I hope more LGBTIQ+ take a proactive role in telling their story, breaking down stereotype and stigma.
This Pride Nepal Tee is a symbolic contribution to the LGBTIQ+ movement. While we may not be selling many tees, the stories that I bring to the blog and share on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are by far much more important than any of the sales.
However, if you would like to buy the tees then head over to Metaphor Fashion website to purchase the tees in Nepal for only Nrs 999. If you’d like to buy the tees in UK/USA then please get in touch with lexlimbu.
What’s your name?
How would you identify yourself?
What does love mean to you?
Love means that you accept a person with all their failures, stupidities, ugly points and nonetheless, you see perfection in imperfection itself.
When you think about Pride, what does it mean?
Pride is a feeling to accept yourself & love yourself.
What or who, helped you to be yourself?
Any last comments?
Stop hating yourself for everything you aren’t and start loving for everything you already are.
